True vintage 1930s dresses are becoming rare as hens' teeth these days, so you can imagine my excitement when I found this beauty! Homemade and hand-embroidered cotton drill type fabric in a soft cornflower shade of blue.
Approximately mid-1930s with puff sleeves. It's in very good condition for its age. Absolutely stunning floral embroidery dotted all over which is in great condition, bar a couple loose threads. Buttons dotted down the back of your neck (although not all present and accounted for).
There are a few faint marks and pin-prick holes, but only noticeable upon inspection. I have not attempted to remove any blemishes, they may be removable.
Yoke at the neck, and interesting stitched dart details. Would have once had a belt, as there is a loop. Domes at the side to aid the dressing process.
